CrN coating (Chromium Nitride)

Properties
Coating ability to withstand heat up to 650-800°C, good wear resistance and provides a surface hardness up to 2,000 HmV, it is twice when compared to hard chrome (1,000 HV).

This film also has a smooth surface, excellent protection against adherence, suitable for non-ferrous part.

It is mainly used for high temperature applications that have sliding usage, used with injection molds for aggressive corrode plastic type such as fluorine or chlorine that easy to volatile, or used for low-strength sheet metal forming.

Engine exhaust valve, piston ring, plastic injection mold, high polished mold

CrN is a film plating that gives a silver-gray appearance.
