Details:
The TOC analyzer is a specialized analytical instrument designed to measure the total organic carbon (TOC) content in liquid samples using the 680 °C combustion catalytic oxidation method. TOC values can be derived indirectly from the total carbon (TC), which includes both organic and inorganic carbon, by subtracting the inorganic carbon (IC)—comprising carbonate, bicarbonate, and dissolved carbon dioxide compounds. The equation for this calculation is: TOC = TC - IC
In addition to liquid samples, the TOC analyzer is equipped with a Solid Sample Module (SSM) that enables the analysis of total carbon in solid samples, expanding its versatility and application in various fields.
